State Senator Chuck Weaver and State Representative Ryan Spain will host a Senior Citizens Fair on Wednesday, August 2 at Snyder Village from 9am-11am.
Snyder Village is located at 1200 E. Partridge Street in Metamora. The fair will feature numerous vendors and include free blood pressure screenings, door prizes, and refreshments.
“I am very excited to be hosting this fair in Metamora. I encourage seniors and their families to attend and learn more from a variety of vendors and services available to them in their community,” said Rep. Spain.
Booths representing the Illinois Treasurer, Comptroller, Attorney General and Secretary of State will participate, as well as over 20 other community services and organizations.
“We hope that our senior citizens will take advantage of the many services provided free of charge to help them stay healthy and active.” said Sen. Weaver. Admission is free. Free donuts, cookies, fruit and coffee will be available for guests to enjoy while they speak with the vendors and local elected officials.
