This week, State Representative Ryan Spain met with Peoria IL Fire Department Fire Prevention Division Chief Nate Rice and his daughter Brinae, who is the Illinois Section 5 FFA President. Nate was in town along with firefighters from across the state advocating for fire service issues, while Brinae was in town with hundreds of other FFA students to advocate for Illinois Agriculture Legislative Day.
In addition, Deputy Minority Leader Ryan Spain joined House Minority Leader Tony McCombie and fellow Deputy Leader Norine Hammond to welcome a delegation of officials from the Irish Consulate in Chicago to the Capitol this week. The Irish officials in the delegation included Minister Heather Humphries, Consul General Kevin Byrne, Vice Consul Padraig Manning, Special Advisor Pauric McPhillips, Eamonn McCormack.
