Today, State Representative Ryan Spain announced the beginning of his Winter 2023 photo contest.
State Representative will host the contest to bring the 73rd District to Springfield with the launch of his Winter photo contest. Participants will be asked to submit a photo that best represents the people and places of the 73rd district. The winning photos will be displayed in Rep. Spain’s Springfield and Peoria offices.
“It is so important for me to keep at forefront my district and its people while serving in Springfield. This is yet another way to help share the story of the people and places of the 73rd District,” said Rep. Spain. “The more submissions we have, the more we can show off our region to the rest of Illinois.”
Rep. Spain will choose winning entries and invite the photographers for an unveiling at the Peoria or Springfield office. The winning photos will be on display for the term of the 103rd General Assembly.
The contest rules are as follows:
- Participants are asked to submit their photos by email to spainphotocontest@gmail.com
- Photos must be taken in the 73rd District (map available HERE)
- Photos must be taken during this winter- December 22- March 20
- Photos are due March 21
- Photos must be sent in high resolution (at least 300 dpi)
- In the email, please include the photographer’s name, home address, email, phone number, and where the photograph was taken.
The 73rd District includes portions of Bureau, Henry, Marshall, Peoria, Rock Island, Stark, Whiteside, Woodford counties. Participants seeking more info can call the district office at (309) 690-7373.
