This week, as constitutionally required, Governor JB Pritzker gave his annual State of the State and Budget Address to a joint assembly of the Illinois Senate and House of Representatives. Following the Address, State Representative Ryan Spain offered his take on the highly political speech, which he thought more so addressed the country than the state of Illinois–calling it a clear sign of Pritzker’s presidential ambition.
“While Illinois faces significant challenges like population loss, high taxes, and a lack of economic growth, we continue to spend more and more: that’s the record Pritzker will have to reconcile,” said Spain.
