Rep. Spain Lauds Signing of Transformational Bill to Lower Prescription Drug Costs

Speaking at a press conference to announce the signing of the Prescription Drug Affordability Act yesterday in Peoria, Rep. Ryan Spain said it is a transformational piece of legislation that improves access, reduces costs and positions Illinois to lead the nation in prescription drug affordability. Most importantly, this bill stabilizes the community pharmacies that are so important in rural parts of Illinois, empowers patients with direct rebates, and ensures discounts go back to patients to lower the cost of prescription drugs.
