State Representative Ryan Spain is seeking volunteers for his Second Annual Summer Reading Club Ice Cream & Swimming Party. The party is held to reward students of the 73rd Legislative District for reading eight books over the course of the summer. Volunteers will be asked to help check readers into the party and work at the ice cream tables. “It’s incumbent on all of us in the community to encourage students to get ahead by becoming better readers. Volunteering at my Summer Reading Party is a fun way to get involved in helping young people get ahead,” said Rep. Spain.
